Built in the Industry, Not About It

Urban Guide Base grew from years of working directly inside hospitality operations. The kind of work that means standing in a kitchen during service, going through purchase invoices line by line, and watching how a team actually handles a busy Saturday night versus what their schedule says they should be doing.

We focus entirely on the operational side. We do not give financial advice, investment guidance, or tax counsel. What we do is help hospitality businesses understand their operational costs, document their recipes properly, organize their teams sensibly, and track where ingredients and effort are being lost.

Based in Dubrovnik, we work with operations across Croatia. The coastal tourism economy creates specific challenges around seasonality, staffing fluctuations, and supplier relationships that we know well.

Before any recommendations, we observe. What is actually happening in your kitchen, not what the documentation says.

Document Everything

Operational improvements only last if they are written down. We create documentation that your team can use without us.

Work With Your Team

We implement alongside your staff. The people doing the work every day need to understand and own the new processes.

Review and Adapt

We come back. First implementations rarely get everything right. Return visits check what has stuck and what needs adjusting.

What We Do Not Do

Being clear about scope is part of doing good work. Urban Guide Base is operational consulting. That means a specific set of things.

Not Financial Advice

We do not advise on investments, loans, tax, or accounting. For financial matters, you need a licensed financial professional.

Not Menu Design

We do not create menus or tell you what to cook. We document and cost what you decide to offer.

Not HR Consulting

Employment law, contracts, and HR management are outside our scope. We address operational scheduling, not employment relationships.

Not Remote-Only

Operational consulting requires being present. We work on-site. Reports sent by email are not a substitute for seeing how things actually run.
